Our Background

 Hi, my name is Debbie Wright, the founder/owner of Escape Right Travel. I have been working as a Travel Advisor/Agent since April 2014. I live in the Madison/Huntsville, Alabama area with my husband, two children and our two dogs, Koda and Belle. When we're not traveling, we spend our weekends watching movies/tv and playing games.  Before I jumped into the Travel World, I was still helping people plan. It was just meals and freezer meals! I was that realm of work for 19 years, which allowed me to be a Stay-at-Home Mom and raise my kids. My Planning Skills overlapped, for a few years, where I was running both businesses. In 2019, I decided it was time to devote all my time to my Travel Business, since it was taking more and more of my time. I also was enjoying planning travel, more than I was meals. This is also around the time where all the Meal Box Subscriptions services were emerging. So, I closed that business and became a Full Time Travel Advisor/Agent. That year I was honored to receive recognition as a Top 25 Agent, in a Travel Agency of about 200 people. Then again in 2020, I earned the award again. Yes, even with the several months of pause in the industry, I still had Clients vacationing as the whole year wasn't a wash. My business continued to build into 2021 and actually soar by the Fall months. I am fairly confident that there would have been a Three-Peat for 2021, however my contract would have had to be renewed to discover it. I opened Escape Right Travel, a little more than a week, before then end of my 2021 contract with that Agency. It was more than time to have my own Agency, where I have complete control over all I do. It's the best way to serve the people I help plan, as I can offer so much more than just the Central Florida Parks. Even better, opening Escape Right Travel allowed my husband to have a more active role in the business. He loves to travel, as well, and many times can help people more in certain areas than I can. My children, 13 & 20 at the time of start, help with videos and social media content. So this really has become a family business. 

How We Got Started

We love ALL things Disney and Universal! This passion runs deeper than just seeing the movies, cartoons and buying the merchandise. Our happiest times are when we are visiting a Park location. We become totally emerged with all the magic and experience a true get away from all the boring, stressful, humdrum days back home. We are planners! No one should go the Parks without having an itinerary or at least an outline of their vacation. There is so much to do and see to make your trip Magical. As mentioned in my background, we now offer Planning Help with so much more than just the Central Florida Parks. While those will always be my first love and where my career started, there is a great big world out there! We have many people who want to see and experience other places. As a family, and as a couple for Adult Only Trips, we have experienced several All Inclusive Resorts in Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos, and Mexico.
